Coachman's
is situated in a cobbled courtyard in the grounds of
Monkleigh
village's old rectory, parts of which date back over 400
years. The cottage sleeps two adults in an antique double
bed in the cottage's only bedroom. A cot and high chair can
be provided for infants as can a foldaway guest bed for a
child.
The kitchen area has recently been fully refurbished and has
a modern built in electric cooker, microwave oven and a good
selection of kitchen equipment.
The under stair cupboard contains such items as a vacuum
cleaner, ironing board and brooms etc. The stairs lead to a
spacious bedroom that has an antique double bed and dressing
table as well as a built in wardrobe. Adjacent to the
bedroom is the bathroom with a full size bath, though a
shower attachment is fitted the restricted headroom makes
it's use for more than hair washing impractical.
The wood burning stove in the living area should provide you
with sufficient warmth whatever time of year you visit,
additional wood is provided free of charge and can be found
in the courtyard. Electric heaters are also provided
throughout the cottage. All linen including pillows, quilts
and towels are provided inclusive in the price, however you
are requested to bring your own beach towels. A washing
machine and a freezer are available adjacent to the cottage
for your use.
The house has extensive gardens of approximately 3 acres,
which are available to those occupying the cottage to enjoy.
Garden furniture and a small barbeque are provided. |
